How to Increase Occupancy by 50% in a Modern Biomedical Research Facility

Wisconsin Institutes for Medical Research (WIMR) embodies a three-phase effort to broadly incorporate the research enterprise of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) into a physical and intellectual resource that ensures complete integration of basic and clinical sciences into an engine of discovery and translation, thereby facilitating innovation and application to a broad swath of disease-driven initiatives. The plan to construct three towers of biomedical research facilities over a time period of fifteen years is two-thirds complete. This video shows how WIMR increased occupancy per laboratory floor from the first tower to the second tower by 50% using the exact same floor foot print.
