What do you enjoy most about being an architect?
“I enjoy getting involved in what my clients do. To be a successful architect I must understand their business and their processes, and how that translates into how they want to present themselves. There aren’t many professions where one has the opportunity to step inside of, and become part of, so many other professions. One day I’m looking through a photon microscope at a stem cell, the next day I’m working with a hotelier to figure out how to improve the guest experience at the front desk, and the next I’m working with a pathologist to plan an autopsy suite. Through my clients I’m engaged in so many things I would otherwise never have exposure to. Every day is different, every day pushes me intellectually.”
