Mr. Witte leads Zimmerman’s multi-disciplinary Health, Science and Technology studio. Early in his career, as a member at GE Medical Systems (GE Healthcare) Medical Facilities Construction Services Group, Tom was deeply embedded in the process of bringing the first generations of MRI systems to the clinical and research marketplace. Tom worked side by side with MRI design engineers, field service engineers, magnetic shielding physicists and construction contractors to help evolve this ground breaking technology to the common expectations the healthcare community enjoys today.
Mr. Witte has been involved from the beginning on the Wisconsin Institutes for Medical Research (WIMR), an interdisciplinary and translational research facility for the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. His dual role on WIMR as a coordinating laboratory and medical planner, and overall project manager, leverages a wealth of experience from all aspects of design and implementation relative to today’s multi-disciplinary health facilities, and the complex design and delivery methodologies required for their success.
