Carroll University Residence Hall
Increasing demands for on-campus student housing coupled with increasing enrollments made it necessary for the college administration to immediately address a new 200-student residence facility. The site, which is adjacent to an existing neighborhood, prompted a design sensitive in scale and profile such that the residence hall was compatible with the surrounding environment. Though the facility replaced a student health office another was included in the facility’s program and physically links to the student union. Due to the acute need for this space, the facility was programmed, designed and constructed in just 15 months utilizing a construction manager and fast-track methodology.
