Summerfest Harley Davidson Stage
In conjunction with the celebration of its 105th Anniversary, Harley-Davidson Corporation committed to an extension of its partnership with Milwaukee World Festival, Inc (MWF). A major component of the agreement involved the renovation of the Harley-Davidson stage area on the Henry W. Maier Festival Park. This supports MWF’s strategic plan focusing on quality through development of world-class music festival venues. As the two entities began their collaboration with the architectural design team, several items were identified as paramount to the successful outcome of the project. Critical to Harley Davidson was the development of a stage and VIP seating area consistent with its legendary brand image. MWF meanwhile, sought to relieve a bottleneck condition that prevailed at the stage’s central park location, intersected by the main festival walkway, while increasing the overall capacity of the venue and providing improved patron amenities including visual and physical access to the Lake Michigan shoreline.
