Janesville Country Club
Janesville Country Club, which holds the distinction of being just the sixth Country Club established in the United States, required an extensive remodeling and addition to its existing clubhouse facility. The existing clubhouse evolved from an original farm-house building which was added on to numerous times throughout the long history of the club. While the various additions accommodated a variety of space needs, circulation and understandable pathways throughout the facility were compromised. Zimmerman was engaged to confirm and improve on the institution’s previous planning analysis with goals of meeting the needs of a growing membership by providing additional clubhouse space, along with providing circulation plan improvements, while adding a variety of improved member spaces including the golf-shop pool house.
