Karen Yontz Cardiac Awareness Center
The Karen Yontz Women’s Cardiac Awareness Center is a nationally recognized resource center dedicated to decreasing the incidence and impact of heart disease in women by raising awareness, promoting wellness and advocating for early diagnosis. The center provides information that helps women understand and identify their risk factors for heart disease and implement preventative strategies.
The main goal driving the renovation of the Karen Yontz Center was to transform the existing 1,100 square foot space, into a multi-use, interactive health resource center. Additional goals included creating open and inviting spaces designed to draw more people from the adjacent hospital galleria and Cardiac Center, incorporating cutting edge technology including touch screen computers, increasing the number of interactive learning tools, and providing integrated display areas for printed resources.
