Summerfest Miller Lite Oasis

As the success of Summerfest continues to grow, and attendance records increase on an annual basis, the original layout of the Miller Oasis was proving ineffective at providing adequate levels of pedestrian circulation during the festivals peak times.  As crowds increased, many of the worst patron bottlenecks would occur around the oasis. The original grading of the site had degraded to the point that water was pooling in many areas, further exacerbating the poor pedestrian circulation.

To mitigate the situation, and insure the continued safety of the children using the adjacent play area, our team set about the task of planning and designing a new Miller Lite Oasis.  An integrated team approach fostered collaboration of all team participants as a means to generate the widest variety of ideas possible.  Sustainable concepts became increasingly important as the project progressed as a means to keep the overall project cost in check.
