Putzmeister designs and assembles concrete and industrial pumps — long booms mounted on trucks that can extend to 200 feet for pouring concrete onto locations of a construction site that are difficult to access. Putzmeister engineers design the machines at it’s main plant in Germany and assemble the components at locations throughout the world. The manufacture of the components for these machines is almost completely outsourced. The 50,000 s.f. building houses new offices and assembly plant. The 40 foot high exterior walls of the facility allow a unique assembly system for the manufacturer’s unique concrete pumps.
