St. Joseph’s Hospital (a part of Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare) engaged Zimmerman Architectural Studios, Inc., to complete design development and construction documents for a 100,000 s.f. Women and Infants Health Center addition. The Zimmerman team utilized information generated by an independent medical planning group in a previous study to develop plans depicting the locations of department, major vertical and horizontal circulation systems, and future growth strategies for the facility. The addition / renovation project includes the following components which include three operating rooms, ten Labor / Delivery Rooms and Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit:

– PNAC
– post partum
– chapel
– women’s resource center
– coffee and gift shop
