University of Wisconsin – School of Business/Grainger Hall
In an effort to capture a more prominent standing in graduate level business studies, the University of Wisconsin added a graduate studies center totaling 167,000 square feet to its premier business school. A major new entry into the building leads to shared formal and informal learning spaces on the lower floors, including a plenary room, tiered lecture halls, dining, classrooms and break-out areas. On the upper floors, a dedicated suite of offices and meeting spaces for each of the school’s specialized Centers allows its students and faculty to collaborate throughout the day, not just during scheduled classes.
Zimmerman provided full planning and design services for the project, including program development, architectural, interior, and landscape design, structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and fire protection engineering, field services and cost estimation.
