Wisconsin Lutheran College Athletic Center
Our focus was to develop a sports field master plan which would integrate the athletic fields into the existing natural landscape of the adjacent Milwaukee County Grounds. We consolidated the menu of sport field options (including synthetic competition football field with stadium seating for 3,000, concessions area, 400m running track, soccer fields, and baseball and softball diamonds) into an area of the County Grounds which was also home to a County Highway Department shop. This site selection left the major portion of natural field and forest untouched. The project plans and bid documents were subsequently developed and the project completed in 2004. Subsequently completed phases include a newly designed and constructed grandstand and concessions buildings for the football stadium, and concept designs for baseball and softball stadium upgrades.
